The people who live in Kampung Teluk Sengat engage in a variety of economic activities there.

1. Fisheries
Fishing is the main activity in Kampung Teluk Sengat. Many villagers became fishermen
and caught fish in the Johor River. They procure supplies of
fresh fish and seafood to support their own lives and
some are brought ashore to be sold to the public.
2. Plantation and Farm
Plantations are also among the activities carried out in
Kampung Teluk Sengat.The largest plantation activity is oil palm.
Not only that,they also process palm oil at the Teluk Sengat Palm Oil Mill.
If other farms have cows and goats, Kampung Teluk Sengat has a crocodile
farm at Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm. This crocodile farm is the largest
in Malaysia and has over 1000 crocodiles.
3. Business
Many business activities are carried out in Kampung Teluk Sengat.
Among them is the sale and purchase of fish.
Fresh fish raised from the sea will be sold to the people around there or to outside suppliers.
There are also many eateries there that sell seafood at affordable prices. Another business activity in Teluk Sengat in
